Rainy days, gloomy skies, and a sudden pop of white

I swear, it has been raining non-stop here for the past three days. You know that kind of weather where the sky is just a flat gray, the air is damp, and all you want to do is stay in bed? Yeah. My mood was definitely matching the weather today.

I was just sitting at my desk feeling totally unmotivated when the mail lady knocked. I wasn't expecting anything special, but I opened the box and... wow.

It's funny how a little bit of beauty can completely flip your mindset. I got these ivory roses from OULIO (I think it's their OULI-MY7005 9-head bunch?). I've been wanting to bring some life into my space, but I have a black thumb and a cat who thinks every plant is a personal buffet. So, I decided to try artificial flowers—and honestly, I was a bit skeptical at first.

But these actually look incredibly real. They have a super soft fabric texture, and each flower head is pretty big (like 9.5cm). The best part? There are nine blooms on a single 45cm branch, so they instantly look full and lush. I just plopped them straight into a plain ceramic vase, and suddenly my whole living room doesn't feel so gloomy anymore.

I even opened one of the branches up and mixed some of the stems with the little green filler I had lying around, just to make it look a bit more "wild" and less uniform.

The OULIO actually has 17 different colors for this specific bunch, which is kind of crazy. I went with the ivory white because it feels so clean and calming, but I'm already eyeing the warmer colors for the winter. Apparently, they also do full customization for packaging and branding if you're a shop owner, which is pretty cool.

Anyway, the rain is still tapping on my window, but I'm sitting here with a warm cup of coffee and these gorgeous roses, and I genuinely feel better. Sometimes, you just need a little fake (but beautiful) floral therapy.
